Loftus Versfeld has been played on since 1897, which makes it one of the oldest sporting grounds in South Africa. The lap runs out over the city it sits in — the Union Buildings on their ridge, the Telkom Tower on Lukasrand, and in spring some 70,000 jacarandas that turn the whole place purple. Free, in the browser, and the only thing being measured is your clearance.
All Blacks in South Africa 2026 · Pretoria · 15 August 2026
Loftus Versfeld has been played on since 1897, one of the oldest sporting grounds in South Africa, named after Robert Loftus Versfeld, who started organised sport in the city. North of it the Union Buildings look down from Meintjieskop, designed by Herbert Baker in 1910, the seat of government and where Mandela was inaugurated in 1994. The Telkom Tower rises off Lukasrand to the south. Further out stands the Voortrekker Monument, finished in 1949, and on the opposite hill Freedom Park, opened in 2007 to remember everyone the first monument left out. In spring the whole city turns purple: some 70,000 jacarandas, none of them native, all in bloom at once.

Tap the screen, or press the space bar, and your jetpack fires. Let go and gravity takes it back. That is the whole flight model — how high you get and how long you stay there both come out of how often you tap. To move across the line, press A and D, drag sideways with a finger, or tilt your phone.
The number in the top corner is your clearance: how close you came to the roof of the stadium as you crossed it. Lower is better, because that is the entire point of a flypast. Under twelve metres is where it starts to get interesting.
Gold rings sit along the route — sixty points through the outside, a hundred and fifty for the inner ring, three hundred for a bullseye, which also builds a combo up to three times. Once a lap a line of blue rings takes you seventy metres up and over, and everything scores double up there. Player jerseys and real pieces of history float on the circuit; fly through one and it stays in your collection on this device.
Seagulls. A single one you can dodge; a flock is too wide to go around, so go over or under it. Fly long enough and the light goes, the floodlights come up and the rain arrives. From the second lap on, each lap sets you a challenge worth between fifteen hundred and twenty-five hundred points.
